17-ft Casita

I was just browsing through the newspaper & saw this ad:

"17-ft. Casita camp trailer, A/C, furnace, refrigerator, 2-burner stove, microwave. Great cond. $7,500/obo. (916) 580-7066."

No more info than that in the ad. The area code is for Crescent City, CA, which is approx. an hour south of Gold Beach, OR, on Hwy 101.

We don't often see ads for these sweet FG trailers in these parts; might already be gone. It was in yesterday's edition of the Curry Coastal Pilot in Brookings, OR:

Brookings Oregon News, Sports, & Weather | The Curry Coastal Pilot - 17-ft. Casita camp trailer. A/C, furnace, refrigerator, | RV's & Campers | Brookings-Harbor, Oregon Classifieds

My 17 LD sold in 6 hours to the first buyer at full asking price (posted as FIRM.) They do go fast when they pop up. Took me over 8 months to find one - in Denver - and I was on an airplane from Portland OR to inspect it the next morning. I just missed 3 or 4 advertised during that year and decided to go for it.

Boy, when we get hooked, we do get hooked! I can't imagine owning anything but a FG trailer..."the privileged few."

(BTW, Charlie, every time I use my outdoor light, I think of you! Still grateful that you were able to fabricate a new lens cover for me. )

Yes, it's living in southern California now. She was very pleased to find a replacement!
