OK - I'll try again.....
Two things:
One: I posted wrong location - the ad says it was MADE in Trail (not "it is there now") Its actually in the Lower Mainland (my bad - I will go sit in the corner now!) AND
Two: I can't get the link to work either, even though I have the ad open in another window so I know it exists.
OK - Go to the Vancouver Craigslist
under "for sale", select RVs
Type in "Carefree" in the "search for" box
And there, among all the ads for RV awnings is an ad (including a some pics) that reads:
Hello,
I bought this travel trailer as a project, but I ended up with a truck camper instead.
THIS IS A PROJECT AND WILL NEED WORK.
It is a 1979 Carefree Travel Trailer, made in Trail BC. Build tag states it is 1800 lbs.
Fiberglass construction, similar to a
Boler or
Trillium. V6 / Minivan tow-able.
It has a 3 way
fridge,
furnace and stove top.
It was also outfitted with a flush toilet and bathroom which is very rare in a trailer this size.
All appliances are untested, but look to be in working order.
The low price reflects that this is a project and will require a little
fiberglass work, effort and love. Floors are soft in places, and front section has some dry rot behind the 1/8" plywood.
The
windows have leaked in the past, and were hastily resealed with lots of calking. This is especially true for the rear window.
The previous owner also started removing the bathroom to install a bench. I assume he lost interest and I ended up with this trailer in its current state, which is a half removed bathroom.
All
lights do work, as do the trailer
brakes.
Newer
tires.
You could camp in it this weekend, or fix it up for many more years of enjoyment.
Cheers!
Price drop from $1500 to $1000.
