Born Free and almost a trailer

Born Free Detachable Motorcoach Camper

I've never seen anything like this before. Heck, it's almost a trailer. Anyone looking for a project might find this interesting.

If you look close at the pictures and brochure - it even has a set of wheels.

An uncle had one for a few years. Hauled it with a Jeep pickup and later mounted it on a trailer. It was pretty roomy and comfortable for them, made it to Alaska and back.

Amazing campers, they crop up in the TC groups I belong to. Wish I could have found one years ago, would have made an awesome restoration project .

That radiused roof is really what has preserved these units over all these years.

She's built much like my Amerigo, fiberglass shell over a wood/steel frame.

That's totally cool. Seems like a great price considering how unique it is.
