We park our pair side by side and, as a result, we are expecting a small teardrop from them any day now...
BTW: The Hunter is the male of the pairing.

RE: Which One???

Due to it's smaller frontal area and less weight, we use the Hunter for trips longer than 300 miles as it allows about 2-3 more miles per gallon than when pulling a Lil' Bigfoot or 13' Scamp size RV.

At home the Lil' Bigfoot is our Cabana and spare guest room.
The Hunter is also shared with my son who can pull it with his small Toyota.

Is there that much difference in weight or is it only front size? What's your tow vehicle?

Our tow vehicles are a 2010 Honda CR-V or a 2003 GMC Sonoma.
Factory weight for the Hunter was about 850 lbs. I will get mine weighed at the Lake Casitas meet at the end of the month, but Hunters that were weighed earlier typically came in at about 400-500 lbs less than a 13' Lil Bigfoot or Scamp. The Hunter is about 24+" lower and slightly narrower than the Lil Bigfoot.

I was actually comparing the MPG difference for two 500+ mile tows with the CR-V, one with the Hunter, the other with the 13' Scamp we sold several months ago.

I somehow had the impression that Scamps were a little heavier than the lil bigfoots. It will be interesting to see the actual weight of mine loaded. I have the 2010 Pilot EX-L so the tow is okay as soon as I can learn to balance the load. I may also need to get a custom hitch for it. The dealer gave me the best fit drop hitch they had but with the water tank full it was tail heavy and real jerky to pull every time there was a bump in the road. I think I need at least an inch lower on the hitch to make it tow level. Without the water it is much better.

Water Tanks: FWIW: Before starting out or breaking camp I always drain the water tank to reduce weight and improve balance. I carry 2 one gallon containers of water in the TV for between stop needs. But I never used tank water for drinking or cooking anyway.

I'm planning on not using it either, at this time I will only take trips to places with water and power hookup.

Unfortunately that will rule out a lot of nice places to stay in the NW. A fav of mine up that way is the Grayback Forestry Service Campground, just outside of Cave Junction on the way to the Oregion Caves. One of the finest forestry service campgrounds on the planet, but no hook-ups.

Did you change your axle on the lil bigfoot? I don't have enough ground clearance at this point to attempt a rough road. I've been following what John did with his and sometime down the road I will do the axle and get a little more height.

Our BigFoot axle seems OK... It was parked on a set of stabilizers for 8-10 years in a storage yard and hasn't had all that many miles or bumps on it. Of course the interior on the south side was fried. When we tried to wash the curtains they disappeared down the drain...
