New compared to a Boler, but I think the first time we talked about the Sealander was in 2011: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f51/trailerboat-48229.html

Not much gets by this group in the all-molded-towable world

It is a nice idea, but so was the German Amphicar. - Unstable and the bilge pump barely kept up. In practice, the doors seem high, and all the comments question stability in any waves at all. Entry and egress look challenging.

But, I bet the folks suffering floods and hurricanes would love it.

Except, of course, its rather limited top speed: 20 mph on land and 5 mph in the water. Around the world in 7 years?

Products that try to combine multiple functions rarely do any of them well. One can admire the cleverness, but performance comes up short, and the increased complexity exceeds the sum of the parts.

I'd rather have my Scamp 13 and a kayak or two. Each handles its narrow task extremely simply and efficiently.

True. Better to have something designed for the task. A multi-tool can skin a buck, but not like my hunting knife can.
