The owner of the trailer took me on a Facetime (essentially Skype) walkthrough of the unit tonight. Nice guy and very accommodating, but it turns out that this one is a bit more work than what I am looking for at the moment. The front bath has it's own separate sink area in the front curbside corner (not visible in photos) and this module is molded right into the floor. I'm not sure what the ramifications would be (if any) of cutting it out, but leaving it in isn't an option for the layout I have in mind.

Bummer. I'm still interested in the Surfside up near Winnipeg that I've been eying, but the owner has been pretty tough to deal with. Have had a couple of offers from folks here to go check it out. Hopefully it'll be a viable option.

Actually, that is exactly what I would do. Cut out the sink, and the seat, which have no structural significance. Probably strip out the walls as well. Then put in a proper bathroom across the front. I would try to make a surround out of glossy Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) panels that Home Depot sells as a bathroom liner. They are 0.1" thick. I would put a bulkhead across the front, where the walls were. The bulkhead would be a sandwich of the kind foam used in boat construction, and glossy FRP. Actually, I wold glue the same foam to the shell of the trailer, then the FRP over that. I would have to just use mat glass in the corner to get around the complex curves. The bathroom would only go 2/3 of the way across the front. The 1/3 near the door would be closet / storage.
If it were next door, my wife and I would be debating this trailer tonight.

I miss my 4500 and would love to have this one. I can't believe that it is still available in L.A. at that price.

Los Angelas. That was my laziness not putting in the periods. If you click on the link to the ad it will show you though.
