I love those things, but you have to make certain the axle is a one ton, if not, your looking at taking a chance on overloading and you know what happens then!
I believe a one ton has 6 lug bolts vs 5. Not certain but I think they changed them all to one ton in 1987.

This thing is 30 years old. Do you think it has been tested yet?

RE: Sunrader 4x4's
A friend of mine just listed an exceptionally nice Sunrader 4x4 in FL for about 17k.
On the 4x4, due to different wheel & tire sizes, it takes a lot more than just changing the axle to upgrade to the full floating axle. It's a real problem and the right way to do it is to have custom wheels made for the ff axle, at about $600 each. The one in Fl was done right. If interested P/M me and I will send details.

BTW: None of the less than 30 Sunrader 4x4's built between 1984 and 1987 had the full floating axle from the factory. The 2 wd m/h's started with it in the 1986 chassis year

"Rusty but trusty," that has a ring to it! But the seller will have a tough time finding an egg that's truly under 1000 lbs.

Randy, The sale ad that Thomas posted is a referral, which means that he is not the one selling the camper. He's just sharing the information for anyone that might be interested. If you go to the link, you can 'reply' to the ad and negotiate with the seller. Good luck!

been driven, but there are a ton of them out there that are still 5 lug. I've read where they are over weight right out of the factory. Toyota makes a really great vehicle though.
BTW...I use to own a 1987 GRanville, loved it!
