Sk (Canada) - 1977 - Trillium 4500 - $2000

Not a Deluxe, No window in door, no shelves front or back, it has DC lights, so it probably has a converter.

The damage seems minimal. Probably has a small tear in the fibreglass. Were I in a buying state of mind, I would be in my tow vehicle heading there now. Since he has been trying to sell it since June 2, I suspect that he would go lower then $2000.

I'm heading up Sunday to get a better look at this, Planning on bringing new tires on rims, tools to pack the bearings and magnetic lights for the ride home.

Good, cause if it sat on kijiji much longer, I would have made an offer.

It started as a much higher price and has been reduced, the owner is a co-worker with my wife. It hasn't moved in over 10 years, so i have my concerns over if its roadworthy, but will get it sorted.

As planned i made a run up to Tobin lake Sunday.

Took me about an hour to pull the hubs, repack the bearings, and swap the wheels/tires to make it tow able. Pulled nicely, the Jetta had no complaints about sitting at 110 on cruise.

The tape has been removed, the damage is larger than i was expecting, but should be pretty straight forward to fix. It extends from the hump on the raised ceiling in front of the vent to just over the corner. I've got it ground out now, prepped, and the first layer of glass in place. Intentions for tonight are to put a few hours in building more layers of fiberglass to complete that part of the repair. The only snag was that i had to remove the awning mount so i could grind out far enough to fix the crack properly.

I didn't really think to take many, was more concerned with getting it done so i can get the space back in my garage.

Here is a shot of where i left off last night, its nice and solid now, few more strips to lay, and then can start trying to make it look pretty. Also replaced all the broken/missing side marker lights, and put a set of LED tail light bulbs in, installed another new tire/rim for the spare, and the GF scrubbed the interior twice, smells nice and clean now!

6 layers of glass, and the first skim coat of body filler are on now, some more sanding and skimming and i'll be onto primer before the weekend.

Few more minor touchups to do, and a coat of paint, but the roof portion is done. Interior is gutted, goal for the weekend is to paint the inside, paint the doors, and get started on re-covering the cushions in denim, and replacing the flooring. Have a company camping trip in 2 weeks that i want this thing ready for.

Need to knock the gloss off, but i'm happy with the roof

Masked the interior this weekend and began spraying, semigloss white, have 2 complete coats on now, one more and i can unmask/take pictures. It looks much brighter/cleaner. New T molding has been ordered, and the cushions are being recovered in denim, new blue curtains are being made up, and the drawers/cabinets/table will be painted as well. On track to take it for the first camping trip the weekend after this one.

I am impressed. Maybe try giving it a good scrub, then Zep wet look. Might even out the shine.

Some quick shots of the interior, will do another coat before i call it good, but looks much cleaner! I'm using a high end acrylic enamel interior paint as was suggested in another thread, its semi gloss finish, and i left it untinted in pure white. I thinned it approximately 10% and sprayed through an automotive HVLP gun with a 2.4mm tip (high build primer gun) The storage areas front and back are now coated with a rubberized rocker guard to make cleaning them up a little easier.
