Looking at those ribs molded into the roof and sides, and knowing that in the 60's most fiberglass manufacturers were using more fiberglass than was really necessary, this must be one very sturdy trailer.

With s name like "Royal-Lite" I'm wondering if it's fiberglass or some kind of plastic.

I had a Old Town Otter solo whitewater canoe made of Royalex.
It was heavy for such a short boat. Can't imagine anybody making a trailer out of that stuff.

Jon, I think you are on to something here. I'll bet it's not fiberglass. My first thought when I saw the photos was that it was a really great looking design and my second thought was to wonder how the heck they got it out of the mold. Looking at the interior photos at the finish on the ribs under the window, I'm thinking it's something other than fiberglass. I sure would like to get a close up look at it .

Axles and rims have been replaced with new larger ones


I wonder why we've never, ever seen new pictures with the new axles and rims? Really strange.

Looks like Royalex was first introduced in the 70's, so apparently not. Sounded plausible, though…
