Looking at those ribs molded into the roof and sides, and knowing that in the 60's most fiberglass manufacturers were using more fiberglass than was really necessary, this must be one very sturdy trailer.

Wow, look at those roof ridges. It would look nice being towed by either my 1965 Dodge Coronet or 1968 Chevy K10 Pickup.

With s name like "Royal-Lite" I'm wondering if it's fiberglass or some kind of plastic.

From Google...
"Royalex is a composite material, comprising an outer layer of vinyl and hard acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastic (ABS) and an inner layer of ABS foam. The layers are bonded by heat treatment. It is used for manufacture of durable, mid-priced canoes."

I had a Old Town Otter solo whitewater canoe made of Royalex.
It was heavy for such a short boat. Can't imagine anybody making a trailer out of that stuff.

Jon, I think you are on to something here. I'll bet it's not fiberglass. My first thought when I saw the photos was that it was a really great looking design and my second thought was to wonder how the heck they got it out of the mold. Looking at the interior photos at the finish on the ribs under the window, I'm thinking it's something other than fiberglass. I sure would like to get a close up look at it .

Over the years, this trailer with nearly the exact same ad has been posted here for a half-dozen times. It was posted last just last month: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...0-a-73852.html

Axles and rims have been replaced with new larger ones

I wonder why we've never, ever seen new pictures with the new axles and rims? Really strange.

Someone near Ft. Myers needs to call the number and try to go see it, and report back to the forum! Then we'll all know for sure!

Any idea what that white thing is in photo #4? I can't tell.

Looks like Royalex was first introduced in the 70's, so apparently not. Sounded plausible, though…
