See last year's discussion, started by the manufacturer: The New 13 Boler is Back in Canada - It's Now Called the Armadillo.

And this more recent, but much shorter thread:
Armadillo.

These kinda show what was done, The door frame and door is flat, sits almost flush at the curved part and sticks out at the top and bottom. That small black patch o the door was a P.O.'s repair where the door contacted the belly band.

I hope to see an Armadillo in the next few weeks and will see how they solved the issue.

Nice little trailer. One odd thing though, it is ostensibly a 13, but it has a foot more tongue and a foot less body than other 13s like Scamp or Casita.
At least that's what the dimensional drawing says,(9ft) although the spec listing claims 10ft.

Could that have something to do with the way the cabin extends out over part of the A-frame? At least it appears that way on my Scamp, and I assume other Boler-derived designs are similar.

@Bob- Thanks for the information and photos. It makes sense now.

Yep, we did a lot of work inside of the Lil Bigfoot and if we had lost a foot of space we would have noticed. There is a front bunk/sofa and a kitchen unit the same size as in the Scamp 23'. 12" less would have been noticed. I'll try to measure one in a couple of weeks.

I'm just pointing out the discrepancy on the Armadillo web site.
Not sure which is actually right. I've seen the Lil' Bigfoot and I'm sure it is the same as all the rest as far as cabin length, but the Armadillo??...

This is copied from the Armadillo web site:
"The Armadillo is made from the same molds that produced the legendary Boler and L'il Bigfoot trailers. These molds have been out of production in Canada for many years but have now been rescued, repaired, altered and improved."

I'm sure you have it right, but the dimensional drawing says the body is 109" long...

So what is the connection between Li'l Bigfoot and Boler molds? Why do they mention both?

At some point in time BigFoot bought the Boler molds and modified them to become the Lil BigFoot 13' FGRV of the late 1990's.

Genealogically speaking, you could say that the Boler is the Grandfather of the Armadillo, and the Lil Bigfoot, as a Son of Boler, is the father of the Armadillo. Scamp is also a grandson of Boler via the son, American Boler.

But this is not to say that there aren't a lot of other relatives out there without benefit of a marital relationship, such as Perris Pacer, Love Bug and others

There is a pic of a Lil Bigfoot earlier in this thread, click on the pic to see the entire set in my photobucket listing.

It also shows a dimension of 115" at the bottom of the sketch, so maybe 109" internal and 115" external for the body?

The 115" is shown as the body plus the bumper.

Gosh, that means the Perris and the Love Bug must be... er... illegitimate children!
