Because there was no brand name, I didn't want to put my opinion in the description box, but I am thinking either a Trails West or Compact. Anyone have an idea?

It looks like a painted Trails West to me.
At 500 bones, even if you had to replace everything in/on it.. it is a great buy for all those that want to refurbish!

Yeah, Trails West was my first thought but I wasn't sure, the color is throwing me off . I sooooo agree Gina, at that price someone is gonna get a great deal. Would love to see the inside! I like the Red, but I like the painted trailers so someone who is into original glass probably won't like it but hey for the money, they can repaint it original.
If someone buys this, let us know!

Wow, that looks like a great deal, and a fun restoration project.
I wish it were closer, 2800 miles is simply too far, even for a great deal!
Jake.

Didn't some of the original print ads show a red one?

The Compact II by Hunter came in several great colors, green, yellow & red included.
I've never heard whether the TrailsWest came in colors as well.
We'll have to wait for the TrailsWest owners to chime in...or wait even longer, until Matt H. finishes his fiberglass history project and TELLS ALL...I can't wait!
On second look, I'd bet on it's being painted red, since the bumper and the bellyband are all the same strange red...

I called out of curiosity. It is a 70 Campster. Tires are less than a year old. Inside electrical including refer works. He has not used the stove. Pump works on sink. The upholstery has either been recovered or there are slip covers over the original (or there are slip covers over the new cushions). I got confused here.
Tail lights do not work but it is the standard 4 wire flat plug. I am only about 15 miles from Oak Harbor so if any one is really interested, I could go take a look.
I told him that I had "friends" that might be interested.

How nice of you Dave, sounds like a even better deal. Wow, decent tires and still mostly working stuff.

The symbol on the upper left is a Campster symbol (mine has it.)

I just took a look at the Albums section and one of the two pictured is the same red. I wish there were some inside pictures available.
Although realistically even I would not travel 3115 miles for the deal, but if it were on the east coast I would be looking.
