Exclamation WANTED: Vintage Trillium in MICHIGAN (Or Region)

Know of a older but well maintained Trillium about to go on the market? Or that has just come up for sale? If so, can you please send me/us a private message? We need space for two adults and musical instruments, as we mostly camp at music festivals. Need not have all the bells and whistles. Thank you.

4500 if it has brakes, 1300 if it does not. Thanks for asking David Tilson.

He was asking which model you were looking for, Also not all 4500's have brakes, mine has the backing plates but doesn't look to ever have had them installed.

its located in Saskatoon so likely beyond the range you're looking for, but will be for sale this spring.

I'd love a Trillium 4500' as I think we'd appreciate the extra space and configuration. I just wonder if it might be too heavy, though, as our car can NOT tow anything over 1,000 pounds unless it has brakes. Hence, a Trillium 1300 might be more realistic, since it is lighter. We can pull up to 2,000 if the trailer has brakes. Dave, would you mind telling me how much "Wedding Gift" weighs? And "Launch Pad"?

Wedding gift is unreasonably heavy. A previous owner added what appears to be a couple of hundred pounds of steel to the frame, in response to the recall that Trillium had. So, not a good example.

If you want light. Something like the Cantaloupe is what you want. Ice box, no fridge. No appliances at all.

The published weight for the modern Trilliums was 1500 lbs for a 1300 and 1700 lbs for a 1500, (4500). Since ~18" length is the only difference, 200 lbs difference seems reasonable.

A 4500 is car towable (gas turbo jetta in my case) the SK rules say you're allowed 40% of the gvwr before needing trailer brakes, so i was legal in this setup, even if its missing brakes if the 4 bolt backing plates are present its an afternoons work and a few hundred dollars to swap on a set so don't let that be too intimidating.

You can't tow anything with your vehicle safely... check the list on this site for " Trailer real weights in the world" or something like that and see what many trailer really weigh. You can't even pull a tent trailer.

???

According to post #5, the tow vehicle is rated for 2000#. The 1000# refers to the manufacturer's threshold for trailer brakes and is common among many very competent tow vehicles, including my 3500# rated Pilot.

That makes many 13'ers (and a few 15'ers) possible (with brakes).

I'm going to look at a 1981 13' Scamp tomorrow. My heart still kinda wants a Trillium, though. The guy did some good work on it, i.e. new floor, new axle, etc. We'll see. Thanks for all the helpful feedback folks.
