Eh, it's OK. I think I got an OK price. (Not SUPER awesome deal, not overpriced much.)
It's got some serious body sag in the front, where the frame has punched through the FG some. So that needs some repair. Thinking of adding a piece of steel under the front part of the egg, it seems unsupported for a long way, and I think that might be part of the problem. I've seen this on a couple other old Casitas as well in pictures.
Because of the body warp/sag, the door fit is terrible, like a 3/4" gap at the bottom. So I need to also fix that. And there's a big crack in the back above the window, almost looks like something fell on it? So right now it
leaks easily.
Interesting thing was the guy who had it didn't know if anything worked. He had slept in it once or twice, but hadn't used the
fridge,
furnace, etc. His situation changed and he needed to sell several things, so this was one of them. So we spent some time figuring out if the
fridge,
furnace,
lights, water tank, city water, etc worked before I made an offer.
I bought it for $2750. Guy knew what he had was worth something, so he didn't want to budge much. I was also the first person who showed up to see it.
