10 inch brakes for Boler 13?

I am in the process of ordering a new Dexter axle and electric brakes (see attached photo) for my Boler 13. I was given a pair of 10" Dexter electric brakes and wondered if it was possible to fit them into 13" Boler rims?

I would appreciate your advice on the above.

Thanks Elvin

The #10 torflex, 2.5K to 4K, AKA 3.5 K axle uses 10" brakes. The #9 torflex 1K to 2.2K uses 7" brakes. The spindles are different sizes so the drums would be the issue. The brakes both use a 4 bolt brake backer plate but I'm not sure if the spacing is the same. I assume you are using the #9 on the Boler. The #9 has smaller spindles. You could use the 10" brakes on a 2.5K #10 axle if that is what you want order.

Thanks Eddie,
I still want the #9 axle as it will give a softer ride so I'll look into whether I can put larger spindles on that axle.

Part of the weight rating is related to how much rubber is inserted into the axle housing. There should be very little difference in ride between a #9 at 2.2K or a #10 at 2.5K. There is only a 300 Lb difference between the two.

OTOH I would expect a large difference between the ride on a 1K and 4K rubbered axles.
