1979 Trillium 4500

Hi guys newbie here we just picked up a 1979 Trillium 4500 we are going to fix up this winter. So i hope to pick some brains let me start by asking what size tires and rims fit a 1979 Trillium 4500 ? thanks all

13" is the stock tire. I have put 14" Ford Ranger rims with ST205 75R14 tires. What you are looking for is a zero offset rim with a 4.5 x 5 bolt pattern.
Any 14" trailer rim with that bolt pattern will do.

Load range D on a 13" tire is hard to find. Yes they would work fine. In fact, since your axle is probably rated to 2000 lbs, they may be over kill.

I have bought 13" Load range D tires from Discount Tire, Big O, and Les Schwab without difficulties. If they have to order them, they usually have them that same day. I do like the "over kill" as I have never had a flat while doing this.

"Working" means a few things...
Size

• Does it match the diameter of your wheels (or wheels you are willing to buy)? These are 13"... and these come with wheels which are obviously the same diameter.
• Does it work on the width of wheels you have (or are willing to buy)? (The tire specs page shows the acceptable range of wheel widths... and these come with wheels which are obviously the compatible.)
• Do the width and overall diameter fit in the available space?

  Dave's the Trillium expert and he says yes...

Capacity

• Does the total of the capacity of two tires more than cover your axle weight? (The tire capacity is shown on the tire and in the specs; if you don't know the highest your axle weight might be, use the axle capacity.)
• Does the capacity of each tire more than cover the heavier individual wheel load, in case the axle load isn't distributed evenly left-to-right?

Type

• Is the tire of an application type that is suitable for trailer service? (These are "ST" tires, which are for trailers and nothing else.)
• Is the construction of the type you want? (The "D" in the designation of these means "diagonal", or bias-ply, the construction which has been obsolete since radials appeared decades ago... but some people still like them.)

Of tires on at least 13" wheel diameter, these are the smallest size, oldest design, and cheapest type and brand available... except for the unnecessarily high load range.

LOL....Now let me ask my hubs do not have lug nuts they use wheel bolts. Do you think thats ok with these wheels ?

Bolt into threaded holes in the hub, or studs in the hub and nuts threaded onto them... it doesn't matter. In both cases the fastener (bolt or nut) has a tapered seat (end), which needs to match the wheels, but the wheels are normally the same either way.

seems like it has the original hubs that use wheel bolts would you know the pilot hole size for the wheel most that I find are 3.19 i'm told that is to big since my 4500 is hub centric and the wheel centers from the hub not the lugs

Why don't you measure the hub? This is all you need.

I have those, in a couple of sizes. Not from Harbor Freight, but the same product. A plastic precision measuring tool sounds pretty cheesy, but for purposes like this it's all you need to get an accurate enough measurement that you can't readily get with a ruler.

cool. Iv been told as long as the wheel bolts are tapered that it will be fine with a larger hole over the hub ?

Just swapped out all the breaks, drum hub and wheel bearing $190 bucks and a few youtube videos. Better to be safe then sorry. took a 140 mile trip all went well.
