5th Wheel Jacks

While heading south towing my Bigfoot 5th wheel a leaf spring broke and we had to be towed to a repair shop.
Unfortunately the AAA tower broke off the dolly wheels and bent the Hijacker hydraulic jacks when winching the trailer .onto the truck.

The leaf spring was replaced and after using a lot of wooden blocks and big jacks the RV shop got the trailer hitched up on the truck so we could get back on the road. Now we can't unhitch ourselves after arriving home.

We called Bigfoot and the Highjacker manufacturers but they no long make the size jacks used on the 5th wheel. We have talked with several RV shops and they have no idea what other jacks would fit - all seem to be too long.

Highjacker is sending us a replacement inner tube which might work if we can straighten the outer jack tube which is also bent.

Any ideas out there on what to do? Anyone know of any used Bigfoot jacks available?

Nancy we replaced ours with Ultra-Fab Electric jacks. Not sure how they would work with a stock height trailer. Hubby had to make brackets for them to hook to the trailer. We love them.

This is the kind they are;

.Hi Thanks for your reply. Did you use these for your Bigfoot?

The original Hijackers fit into a groove on the front with a bracket which attaches to the trailer. They are about 3 feet high. The ones you recommend look like they mount to the bottom of the trailer. How did you attach the new ones?

Thanks, Nancy

They fit where the old jacks were on our trailer but closer to the body.
