American Boler Axle

Hi. I am fairly new to the forum. I purchased a 1972 American Boler last October & found this forum shortly after. I have done many searches on here & have found many answers. Thank you to everyone out there willing to share information!

My question today is, does anybody know if the axles are different between American made Bolers & Canadian made Bolers? I am in the process of completely redoing our Boler & part of that is replacing the axle. I just purchased an axle that is supposed to fit all of the 13' Bolers, but when the guy mounting it measured it today, the new axle was about 6" longer than the one that is on it. Has anyone else come across this?

Libby,

It really should not be about 6" wider because the bodies are the same width since they used the same molds. The axle length may differ but the hub face to hub face measurement should be the same.

I posted the measurements and specs in my axle swap post. Email me through my profile on the board if you want a full sized picture of the cross section I had to downsize to post on the board.

Email me anyways because I want to communicate with you off the board about sourcing some parts from out your way.
