Another "do not leave home without one" item

This simple item I have carried with me for past 4-5 years and has come in handy in so many ways. When shopping for a new tow vehicle which has the factory tow package it verifies there is a separate 12v lead which many do not include. When camping and a neighbor complains of a dead battery, this can determine the cause.7 Way Trailer Connector Vehicle Tester Tow Ready Wiring TR20117

I LIKE THAT JIM!!! Yes, I'm shouting Immediately eliminate one big question to a lighting equation without spending time using a tester. Cool!

Price isn't bad at all, but I'm going to see if I can find one locally.

I do not know Donna, but $14 is relatively cheap, as long as shipping is reasonable.Amazon has one for less Amazon.com: 7 way trailer connector vehicle tester

I just ordered one on Amazon from Hitch Anything, I've purchased from them before. $12.01 with free shipping. Cool beans! Thanks again Jim!

I've never seen one of these before. What surprises me is how much more compact and sophisticated it looks compared to the big pigtail (with one huge red light) the local trailer repair place used the last time I watched them test my receptacle!

I was searching for a 7 pin tester and came across this one Tekonsha 7-Way Trailer Emulator Blade Style Connector Tekonsha Wiring 6562

Is it worth the extra money?

I also bought one of these from princess auto. If you're in Canada they often go on sale. Works great.

This is a electric brake tester, so you can set up your brake controller without hookup to the trailer, the other ones shown are strictly for wiring hookups. This one will do both!!

Looks like a great tester, I think I will grab one. I can't see taking it when I "leave home" though.

Because at home you probably have at least 3 other items that can test the circuitry, whereas on the road or at a campground you may not!!
