Hey Jeff,

Wondering how you made out with the flexiride axle? do you have any pictures of the final install? would really like to see how you made out. did you come across any issues or anything? I called a guy in canada and he kept trying to steer me away from this axle. I think it will be perfect. I think its the way to go personally. I really appreciate all the info you've posted.

thanks for your time,

Joel

I just built a new frame for my 1974 Boler and installed a Flexiride axle with brakes in a trailing arm configuration. I did a lot of research and in my mind the Flexiride was better for my application although it was also the most expensive option. One of my concerns was that I didn't want to increase the ride height much from the original, in the end the upper frame rail sits just 1" higher than the original sagging Ingersoll Rub-R-Ride axle. The Flexiride is set in a 10 degree up angle which I know will comprimise ride compliance.

I will post pictures of my installation and frame design shortly

Hi Ian,

I'd love to see your photos, would really appreciate it.

I can get a flexiride axle for $249 in canada plus taxes. I picked up an unused pair of second hand Dexter 7" brakes the other day off the forums here for about $100, so the cost of a flexiride with brakes comes in less then a new dexter with brakes. I'll order the flexiride axle without any hubs. so it saves us money since i'll have the brakes already.

thanks for your time,

Joel
