Darral- no, I never owned a HiLo camper. I'm a skydiver and a scuba diver (high/low) Now that I have my fiberglass camper, I don't think I'll ever have anything but.

Thanks, everyone. We're about to replace the axle and have wheels balanced in the process, so I appreciate everyone's experience.

(DH has noticed that one tire is wearing unevenly to the outside. it was not quite tracking correctly -- but this is an axle issue. While everything is torn apart, wheels are being balanced. We have a friend in the tire business who can balance based on lugs or hubs... And he's right down the street from the axle place.)

It's interesting how many different opinions there are on the need to balance the tires. DH is pro-balance and I'm anti-trailer vibration, so I guess we both are in support of balancing trailer wheels.
