Bolt on anti sway kit

We were wondering if anyone has used a bolt on plate on the trailer rather than a bolt on or weld on? We hesitate to drill into the frame, although it is commonly done. A bolt on would allow us to change to a WDH with our Escape if we go from the current F-150 without unneeded holes in the frame. Here is the Husky product we have in mind:https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Husky...-p/14-1255.htm
Thanks for any thoughts.

Look at the Andersen system it works great and no holes or welding.

We had the bolt-on style on our trailer and like you anticipate, we removed it, leaving the holes. I put the bolts back in the holes, which looked better than the holes. The clamp-on style trunnion will work just fine as long as there are not obstructions on the inside of the frame in the area where it must be placed. As far as keeping your trailer tongue in pristine condition upon removal, be aware that two steel surfaces mated together out in the weather will cause excessive rusting over time.

Look at the Blue Ox Sway Pro, which is what I am using now, and handles both sway and weight distribution. Had been using Andersen. Blue Ox is much better. Both are clamp on.

Tony, how are y'all?
Depending on the shape of the trailer A frame you can bolt on a sway bar anchor plate to it. I did our 16 Scamp by drilling holes in the flat side of the rectangular tubing. just stay away from the top and bottom corners. the best place is in the center of the flat side. Size the holes to fit self tapping 3/8 x 1 screws and you only drill through one side. Six screws should be enough. If needed add more holes in the plate.
