Just returned from a 2200 mile trip towing our
EggCamper for the first time with our (new to us) 2011 Buick Enclave. The Buick is a very capable and satisfactory tow vehicle. It has a 6 speed transmission. Most of the time it is in either 5th or 6th gear. Sometimes it downshifts to 4th but not excessively. Mpg figures ranged from a low of 12 point something to a high of 18 point something with a majority of readings being about 15 give or take a point or two on either side. Factors affecting mpg were speed (mostly between 55 and 60), hills, traffic, wind. In addition, it has a very comfortable and quiet ride and the heated/cooled seats are now necessities of our lives.
