Buying tires on the internet

I am looking for a set of tires for my Casita -225/75R15. Load Range D.
No one within 75 miles of me stocks Goodyear Marathons ,Carlisle RH,
Maxxis 8008, Hankook, or Michelin ST tires . The only tire I can find locally is
Tow Max . It appears my only option is to purchase them off the Internet but from who.
I seldom purchase anything off the internet and prefer to purchase things locally.
The second issue is most local garages only want to mount tires that they sold.
Any suggestions ??

I've used RecStuff.com and bought from them twice. I'm pleased with the transaction.

I asked the same question last year. Lots of good responses.

I bought from amazon. Took them to a local oil change place that does minor repairs and tire change overs as well. Raz

I just ordered 3 Maxxis 225/75R15 D from the mothership (Amazon). They have a load rating of 2540 lbs each! And should ride better than the E that some purchase. I run 60psi, have 80psi aluminum wheels and 80psi valve stems. Local shop mounted and balanced. LOVE em!!!

+1 for these guys...we bought some Kuhmo tires for our former Casita 16' SD from them. Decent price, very fast shipping.

If you are looking to go to aluminum wheels and can deal with GY Marathons. Easterm Marine has some decent deals on either or premounted (best deal). The Black Star wheels look good on a Casita. About every other month they have a 10% off sale.

Look at Walmart on the Internet. I ordered tires and had them sent to a local Walmart and then when they arrived, Walmart put them on.

Buying Tires on the Internet

We just bought 2 hard to find tires at Tire Rack. When you order, there are options as to whether you want the delivery to be at home or at a business. Tire Rack provides a list of local businesses that will install the tires. We called ahead to make sure they would work on our rig.We used a mobile service that came to our house and performed the job right there in our driveway at a very reasonable price.

The other thing about Tire Rack is that their search utility is not the best. I searched by vehicle, by size and finally by the name of the tire. The first 2 searches came up with no results.

Hope that helps.
