Been reading this forum the last few days and poking around while waiting for my account to be fully activated and have found this site to be very informative in the subject of fiberglass trailers.

How ever there seems to be some, for lack of vocabluary, misguidance i guess on the subject of TVs.

When choosing a TV one must not only look at the rated towing capacity of the vehicle but also the maximum gross vehicle weight rating. taking into account not only the trailer tounge weight but passagers and cargo carried in/on the TV its self. It can add up very quickly. Encroching on either limit can be very unsafe and damge the tv. The greater the mass the greater the effort is required stop, accelerate and manouver.

Being new aound here I fully appoligize for maybey stating the obvious but safety is a huge thing of mine and I know there are first timers out there that may not know to take that into consideration.

It is something to consider... that's for sure. The numbers aren't always what one might assume... for instance, my Scion xD (like a Toyota Yaris, but with a Corolla engine) is rated to carry more cargo than a 2000 Ford Explorer.

Surely you mean that it has more "cargo space"?

I mean that the difference between the curb weight and the GVWR is a larger number. Not by much... but it puts thing in perspective. Both vehicles have a little over 900 pounds of cargo carrying capacity.
