How to raise a Scamp 5th wheel 19'

Just bought a Scamp 19' fifth wheel. I have a Dodge Ram 4x4 short bed.
I'm I going to have a problem getting this camper home.
Thanks for any help.

There are those who can help here, but they will need to know the height to to the top of the box on your truck when parked on level pavement.

They used a 3" lift for our Tundra (not the little one) which was constructed into our trailer frame.

One of the reasons I don't like the current crop of "work" trucks is they've brought the rails up to armpit height, so high you can't easily reach inside to grab something, and also so high my Scamp 5er would have to be modified to fit underneath.

You'll have bust the welds holding it to the frame and attach some additional box beams to lift the trailer so it'll fit, and re-attach the axle. I'd call Scamp to find out just how much height to add.

You might also look into the age of the axle. If your trailer is 20 years old, the axle is probably starting to sag, and it might be more cost effective to replace the axle while it's already off.
