The ONLY way to go in my book. You did something I will do the next time- hardwire. I have the Peak wireless and it's VERY susceptible to interference.

We were going through downtown Foley, AL. one time while the trailer was at the CG. FWIW, my Peak monitor was still on and picked up a doggone Sports channel from a TV from a new-by business!! So that's proof of how easily interference can affect the "wireless" models.

I like Denny's suggestion. Can someone provide info on a good rear camera safety system product and how to install on a trailer? Much appreciated.

If I was shopping for a camera, I would heavily consider this one from etrailer.com (EXCELLENT mailorder co. btw). The reviews are super! The ONLY problem we might run into is the cable. You can buy cable extensions for some models but not sure about that one.

This is the unit I used. Works perfect going on 4 years.

The advantage of a wired system is much clearer picture, disadvantage is its a big PITA running the wires.
