Increasing Ground Clearance in a 13' Scamp

I'd like to increase the ground clearance in our 2014 13' Scamp. I'd appreciate ideas, suggestions, and warnings about this project. Thanks

Also your trailer should have a bolt on axle,
you could sinply remove the axle, add in a small section of rectangular tubing, and bolt it back in.
Or you could remove the bracket and weld in a the tubing above the bracket then reinstall.

Hello Martin, I have a 2017 13' Scamp and totally agree that you have to increase the ground clearance to avoid expensive repairs. I have replaced the toilet and drain line, grey water tank, and front jack. I just added 3" spacers using 2"x 3" tubing. A spacer or lift kit is the cheapest way to increase the camper height.

This will explain what I did

Etrailer may carry a riser that will work depending on which brand of axle you have. I have a Lippert 2200 lb Axle and I think their part # LC270682 may work, check with them. They also have Lift Kits for Dexter Axles.
