Is this safe routing for the brake wires?

I installed an electric brake break-away switch on our Casita last week. I used the existing hole that the main wiring cable goes through, and was careful to run the three break-away wires beside the cable, as opposed to above or below it, so the grommet clamp (or whatever it's called) wouldn't put direct pressure on it.

Should I be worried that the brake wires' insulation will eventually and activate the brakes one day while I'm blithely cruising along the highway?

It would have been better if the protective shield had not been cut outside, so It would prevent the UV rays, physical stress and vibration to attack the wire insulation. For the same reasons, I prefer using jacketed stranded wire instead of individual conductors whenever possible.

You Really need to add a protective cover where it goes through the clamp and hole.

I use a length of garden hose (The very cheep and smallest O) for situations like this.
If I can not disconnect the wire to run through it, I split the length of hose then place it around the wire and clamp the end.

With the hose around the wires and up in that clamp you have on the camper and the clamp tightened it will hold everything snug and keep the wires from rubbing on clamp.
