Some argue that anything more than a tent and your own two legs is wretched excess.

In the end we allow people to draw their own lines about what is "necessary" and what is "excessive" (subject to the gas-guzzler tax in the US, I presume).

If the cost weren't so excessive I might not consider the performance excessive either.

Did you ever wonder why they don't use dragsters for long haul trucking?

The Hellcat has 650 ft lbs of torque for short bursts only, while a Ram Cummins has 865 ft lbs for all day work.

The Hellcat would be a lot more fun to drive, just think how quickly you can get to the next gas station.

Here is a little Pick Up I saw at Bonneville last year, it should be able to pull any fiberglas trailer at about twice the speed limit. It isn't a race truck, some of them go over 200 mph. It is just a nice little pickup the owner put together for fun. I think the owner said it was a big Ford v8 in back.
