Well after about nine months of looking we finally traded the Jeep Liberty in and found a 2007 Nissan Titan with a factory tow package. Rated to tow 9500lbs, guess that should handle a 13 Scamp.
After camping with the Scamp extensively for 2.5 yrs now, we came to the conclusion that a crew cab PU with a bedliner and locking cover to store the camping gear was what fit our style of camping the best.
Took about eight months of looking to find the right deal, and we don't have to add anything to this one, ready to hook and go.

Nice looking ride What kind of drop do you think you'll need for the receiver... or will the other do?

Greg,
Looks nice. I am jealous of the storage in the truck bed! Our "trunk" is full of dogs.
Congratulations!

Congrats!!!
We have both a Liberty and a Dakota and find that the longer wheel base on the Dakota gives a much smoother ride. You will love the truck.

Thanks, Donna.
Not sure yet on the drop, had a 2" drop on the Liberty and was about perfect. I'm going to check it tonite, but I'm guessing about a 6-7"
Nice thing with the factory tow package, there is a brake controller harness and the prodigy has the connector available for the Nissan so won't be hard to setup like the Liberty was.

Thanks Tom. I came real close to getting the Dakota really liked it, but they just didn't seem to want to sell them. Finally, gave up and started looking for a Frontier and then this came along.

Greg, congratulation on your new PU. I am going to be interested in your gas mileage with and without pulling your
Scamp. I have a 2007 Frontier, four-door, 6 speed stick with shell over the bed to pull my 13' Scamp and get between 15--18 mpg on the highway. I try to stick to the speed limit, especially the 55 mph in CA. Margaret in NW California

Nice ride Greg! It will be a good looking set up with your 13ft'er, but I am sure it will look just as good pulling your future purchase. Enjoy.
