Nissan 4cyl p/u king cab.

I have searched the various threads and not found very much info.
How well can I expect this to work as our tow vehicle?
Stock, 1995 4cyl. 5 sp manual, std 2 wh drive, 148hp IIRC. FYI the v6 that year only had 6hp. additional.
Tow cap is listed as 3500/350 tongue.
Right now it has about 250k on the clock but going strong.
I understand the weight distribution issues but I have never towed
anything more than a small box trailer.
Our hope is that my truck will be adequate for a 16-17ft model
Casita or Scamp.

Thanks

I sometimes use my 2004 Nissan Frontier with 4-cyl. (143 hp), 5-spd. man. to tow our 13' Scamp. I have to say it is barely adequate for the purpose -- I never use fifth gear and often must downshift to third on uphill grades. I can't imagine pulling a 16'er with this vehicle to be honest with you.

I can't speak for other models but my 1994 16 foot casita SD has a tongue weight of 260 lbs and a total weight of 2200 lbs which falls within the range of your tow vehicle specs. The 17 foot casita's are heavier with a tongue weight of about 460 lbs and a total weight around 3200 +/- lbs which puts your tow vehicle at a max...... 13' models or 16' models of this brand seem to be within your range. Others will chime in with weights of their brand i'm sure.
Hope this helps with your decision.
Joe

Jeff was typing while i was at the same time and i think his estimation is a good one.... I would really like a 13' myself and am presently towing with a straight six 2002 grand cherokee with tow package and it tows my 16' nicely but it felt better with a full size pickup.
