Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Deryk,
Although I am not generally a fan of the design of the Andersen hitch, it does seem to have some pretty loyal followers. Especially for the lighter weight trailers, like yours. By most accounts, it's built in sway control works very well.
It also has the advantage of being rather lightweight, so that could be considered a good thing on your combo. You might check in over on the AirForum site. There is an over 100 page thread on it, and you can read up on some of the discussion regarding it.
I have never even seen one, let alone used one, so I have no first hand comments regarding it.
Personally I am going to stick with my BlueOx. For what it's worth, the BlueOx weighs 68 pounds, plus 12 pounds for the spring bars.

With these tow vehicles, if there's a lighter hitch that's still capable, I would go for that in a heartbeat. Although it's not my style or preference, in this case, it comes down to saving a few pounds where you can.

I was looking at the Anderson yesterday, but everything is ...another 100 dollars, another hundred dollars lol...I saw some video's of it and it looks interesting... but $450 and then needing some welding done to add tabs so they done move forward. I do like the idea of it though lol

Just to add more choices (or confusion) - the Camco EasyLift hitch with 600 lb bars is the one I use on my Escape 17B & RAV4.

There you go folks ! That's likely your answer, right there. Deryk and I have been waiting (and PM'ing) that we need Jon to jump in here. He's the guy with many miles on this car with the class of trailer, so he would know.
And to boot, the hitch he uses is reasonable in weight and cost. Sounds like a all around win to me.

So you are 40 lbs. over the maximum tongue weight for the RAV4 V6 with tow package.
