Scamp Bolt Pattern

Picking up a 2020 Scamp in April (hurrah!) and am considering bringing up higher quality tires (which I learned about in a different thread) already mounted as the folks in Backus said they would switch them out if I had them ready to go.

I asked them about the rims because I need to know the bolt pattern but did not get a clear answer. Would anyone be able to tell me the bolt pattern? Thanks in advance for your help.

I just replaced mine and they were 5 bolt on 4½" (2017 16'). How ever, you should have no problems getting it home with the Scamp tires, the only limit is the 60 MPH speed rating. You will also have trouble finding a 13" USA made tire. (I also have a fear of any tires rated for boat trailers.)

They are 5 on 4-1/2" with ZERO offset. 175/80-13s

When we bought our 13D frontbath, it came with Marathon "B" rated tires which were barely adequate. They no longer even make "B" rated tire, so the factory tires will be fine if properly maintained.
I ran my B tires for 27000 miles at 40PSI (five over sidewall).
I now run Carlisle HDs which are clearly better.
They hold air better, handle better, and wear better.
If you are buying custom wheels go ahead and get tires as well.

Here is the thread that talks about better tires - http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...m_medium=email

I am planning on buying Carlisle ST17580R13 tires as mentioned by "Lockman".

Tires

P.S.
No matter what tires you use, get them balanced.

Easier said than done. We are talking the north woods here. My rims came from one state and the tires from another. Even then the tires were one year old, the newest the warehouse had in stock. Unlike the Scamp tires, the new set was ROUND!
