Hi,
I have a 91 17' Bigfoot trailer with a single axle - does anyone out there know what size wheel bearing seals it needs? Everyone tells me to take a measurement from the old seal but I have a friend coming in to help me and I would like to get the part before the store closes. Yes, I know it has to be the exact right size and if I have to go back to get other seals thats fine - just don't want to waste my friends time if possible.
Thank you!

You might try looking for a tag on the axle for a make and model, then go to there web site.

Just a thought.

Clean the seal with solvent and take a close look, most of them have a number stamped in the face in tiny print......

The inboard bearing should dictate the seal size since axle spindles and brake drums are pretty much standardized.

Hi Carol the seals in my 1989 19' Bigfoot are SE-22EZ, I got them from Princess auto. My axle is a Standens 3500 Lb 10x2 1/4" (Duel axle on mine).

I just posted this word of caution in another thread. The inner races on my 1989 19' Bigfoot are L68110. I have in the past confirmed this with Standens (The axle supplier). I don't know what years this was the case.

Hi everyone,
All your information helped me, it turns out that the part store could only give me a part if I knew the part number. So after getting home and watching many youtube videos on regreasing bearings, we took the wheel off and popped the cap off - and behold it looked like the bearings had just been done - so when my friend came down he checked it over and said it was fine. We bought the trailer two years ago and have only used it about six times but I didn't know what the previous owner had done, I figure better be safe than sorry. We plan to go on a long trip with it and so I feel better that I know. It would have been out a few dollars if I had taken it to a garage.
Thanks so much!
