VW decided that they can't compete with BMW 3-series in the US... and must drop back down and compete with the Corolla and Civic. The Jetta/Golf is seen as a more upscale car in Europe, but is seen as an economy car in NA......
That regress in PS technology would sway me away from getting another VW Jetta. Competing with BMW 3-series instead of leaving it to their own Audi to do is not the wisest business, but regressing on technology without cost benefit is just stupid.

George.
The price has come down... So there is a price benefit. I still hate to see these changes.

Can-Am RV :: Jetta towing Visa
Yesterday my wife and I came back from the 3 months long trip driving in Poland, Germany, France and Spain. On our 8,000 km journey we saw many RV trailers, most of them pulled by passenger cars.

I did not see one trailer nor motorhome with a pull-out. I specifically observed RV trailers’ frames and most of them have them engineered; low height at I-beam ends, beefy at axles and drilled I-beam webs.

Thank you for a video link.
George.
