I have a tandem axle Bigfoot and am about to service the brakes. the original manufacturer of the brakes/axle are Standen's. Will Dexter parts fit? Also Princess auto carry spares under the "quality" brand. Are they inter changeable? I am thinking of parts like the magnets and drums and maybe leaf springs. Also has anyone had the face of the brake drum machined that the magnet rubs on, if so did a brake shop do them or a machine shop?

I have a Bigfoot with Standens axles. All components are Dexter parts. I have had the armature surface of the hubs machined by my local NAPA dealer, about $20 per hub.

O.K Thanks Just a word of caution though the Inner races on my 1989 Bigfoot wheels are not the standard L68111 but L68110. I contacted Standens in the past and they confirmed this. I don't know what years this was the case. That's why I asked, everything else does look the same.

I priced a complete Dexter backplate/brake assy at the RV dealer, $80. I will probably change all four as that looks to be a good price. A single magnet is over$30!
