Torsion Axles Source

While browsing the eBay store of a trusted RV parts dealer I have purchased parts from previously for my Boler I saw this axle for sale and thought it might be useful for someone so here's the link:

3500 Torsion Axle Stub RV Trailer camper 1750 Ea | eBay

It is important to note that this axle is 1 of 2 pieces a right or left rather than the 1 piece that originally comes on the Boler/Scamp models...but it may be easier to install rather than the longer 1 piece design...

Hmmmm.. In addition to it not having any brake flanges, it looks like using that design would require a complete frame redesign as well. Might improve ground clearance though.

Good point Bob...fortunately I don't need an axle mine is in good shape but I have seen enough posts on here about them that I thought it might benefit someone...

One major benefit I see is that the bolt on design though would allow for either axle to be adjusted independently to track straight for better tire wear, seen posts about possible bent axles and this would allow a fix vs cutting & re-welding a one piece axle not to mention that once a one piece axle is bend it would be difficult task to straighten it back out.

Now if I ever decide to start manufacturing my own "egg" then I think I would go with this design rather than the 1 piece...
