Bob,

This has come up once before and when I checked with the poster they were talking Imperial gallons so I adjusted accordingly. I did the same this time without checking with the poster.

Norm,
Update on stats:
On a recent trip to Tennessee my non towing of 18 mpg dropped to 14 mpg towing going down south and 13 mpg returning north with a head wind. Either the wind or the curvature of the earth caused the drop!! I'll report back after my 8,000 mile trip this summer.

Out to California via southern route, stop in Visalia, Ca and then up to Osoyoos, BC for the Escape rally and then home via different route.

Hi Jim,
Same results here--I took the mileage after driving in an all-day headwind and mileage was down by at least 1 , maybe 2 mpg and the reverse result with a tailwind.
