Thanks a ton. Really appreciate the report. It is between this and a Highlander at this point.

I have always wondered how many units of each brand of fiberglass trailer have been sold.
I took the data in the spreadsheet and came up with the following percentages:
Scamp 24%
Casita 18%
Escape 12%
Bigfoot 11%
Trillium 7%
Boler 5%
and Bonair, Burro, Compact, Eggcamper, Lil Snoozy, Oliver, and Uhaul all come in at 2-3%.
Of course, it is possible that Scamp owners are simply more likely to respond to a survey like this...

Table is up-to-date, thanks all. BTW the tire info columns were created due to interest in trailer tires (a few years ago blowouts were more common). DavidJS, are those Michelins on your trailer or your tug?

I had an email with data from GpaNed... Ned, if you read this, please confirm whether your Scamp is a 13' (I would assume so from the light weight).

Travel outside requires climb over 4000' pass across Mt. Hood on US 26, climb over Siskiyou Summit 4300' on I-5, or the 3600' Deadman's Pass on I-84 east.
The torque from the 2.5 L turbo is amazing.
I've climbed each, managed to remain at 3500 rpm or less while maintaining 50 mph or a bit better.
Both the GMC Acadia & Ford Explorer used previously generally rev'd to 45-5000 rpm or better to achieve the same climb speed.
We are pulling a 17' Casita, typically loaded for a 30 or longer excursion. Have never weighted to know exact.
Have only looked at the instant mpg readout once, at about 7, so no need to check again, but even with those climbs the overall milage on typically 2K mile journeys averages 18-20.

Our Hymer is kind of a platypus egg in that it may not be considered a true egg. However, it is a two-piece molded FG shell with a FG and canvas pop top.

1. 2015 Toyota Highlander XLE AWD
2. 3.5L V6
3. Hymer Touring GT (18'5")
4. Highway Towing: 18 mpg (@60-63 mph); non-towing: 25 mpg (@65-70 mph)

I previously said the tongue weight of my E21 was about 400 lbs with it fully loaded, 2 heavy bikes on a big rack, and a full tank of water.

I just weighed it with it partially loaded (no food or beverages, empty water+holding tanks, no bikes, but all our camping and cooking gear on board), and came up with about 480 lbs.

1997 Bigfoot 25B21RB weighs 4400#
2018 GMC Canyon 2 WD crew cab 3.5 V6 28MPG empty and about 16 MPG towing (Canadian gallon)

Works excellent no equalizer hitch required but I do use a sway control friction arm

During this month's trip from OK to MI and back, I traveled 2,650 miles and used 205 gallons of regular unleaded in my Lexus GX470, for an average of 12.9 mpg towing my Hauley. I think my engine was built for longevity and not for economy.

My '17 Tahoe runs in the 13/14 range. About the only time I know it is back there is when I look in the mirror and can't see out until I realize what's going on. Can even see around it with OEM side mirrors.

I thought the Escape came in a 6 cylinder. I live in Canada, could it be the 6 cylinder is not available here? Anyone know?
If anyone has a strong recommendation for a T Vehicle, I’m open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.
