Towing with Ford Flex?

Is anyone using a Ford Flex as a tow vehicle? I am looking at one with factory tow pkg. Rated to tow 4500#.
to tow my soon to be acquired Casita 17'. If you have any thoughts, pros and cons, please let me know.

2010 Ford Flex, Ecoboost engine, Casita 16 (3,000 lb in typical travel trim, single arm weight distributing hitch and friction anti-sway bar. You'll need some sort of WDH per Ford towing requirements for anything over 2,000 lb and/or 200 lb tongue weight.

The normal V-6 is about 260 hp with the Ecoboost engine about 360 hp.

Over three years (33k miles)I'm averaging about 17.5 mpg. About 10k of that mileage is towing and I'm getting 14-15 mpg towing. 18-19 normal day-to-day.

The Ecoboost engine is a beast. I can flog the 4,600 lb box 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds when not towing.

I have the factory tow package which include anti-sway software for towing which apparently applies brakes in side to side pairs when it senses sway but I have the anti-sway bar so I use it.

I'm not exactly a neutral observer but I've towed this trailer with 2 and 4 door Explorers and a couple V8 F150's and the Flex is the best thing yet in my experience.

I don't know how much pep the unaspirated V6 motor would have but I have acceleration to spare while towing so I expect the normal v6 would do just fine.

Steve. That sounds like it would do the job pulling the 17' with the Ecoboost engine. I want something for a day to day driving car and have tow capabilities when pulling the trailer. Thanks for your input.
