My mileage is affected very little whether I tow my truck in drive or tow haul mode .
Speed and wind seem to cause the greatest drop in MPG. When driving at 55 to 58 MPH ,with little wind I average about 16 MPG . When I increase my speed to 62 to 65 MPH my MPG drops to 11 to 12 MPG and when bucking a head wind to 10 MPG. I believe Like Donna D in driving at a reasonable speed that is economical and safe . I would rather spend my money on something else besides fuel
