Weights of Scamps vs Casitas by year

Someone posted an xls doc at some point but I lost track of how to find it. Can anyone point me to it?

I'm trying to make sure my 2005 VW Passat diesel wagon TDI, or my 2006 Toyota Highlander can safely tow a 16-17 casita or scamp.

TIA!

The link is in post #297 of the thread "Trailer Weights in the Real World." It's a sticky thread near the top of the General Chat section.

A 17' Casita deluxe (i.e., with front bath) would probably have too much hitch weight for either vehicle.

Casita lists the dry tongue weight for a 17 ft DLX at 365 lbs.
My 17 ft Casita with options had a tongue weight of around 380 lbs when I left the factory.
My tongue weight now when loaded for travel is around 430 lbs.
The average tongue weight of a 17 ft Casita from
" Trailer Weights in the Real World " is 427 lbs , if I remember correctly.
Our 1999 16 ft Scamp STD with front bath had a tongue weight around 260 lbs.
Our weights were taken with all the tanks almost empty.

There are four 16' Casitas on Frederick's list (trailer weights in the real world) that weigh less than 3000 lbs. (loaded to camp) and have tongue weights under 300 lbs. The Highlander should be able to handle that.

16 ft Scamp and Highlander (V6) are a great match. /wc
