Well, we still don't know what is going on with this vehicle (That is me talking to the salesman, telling him that we are buyers who know that lots of buyers would not go for this van, as it lacks normal American amenities and rides like a pickup, since it is built like one. We are ready for one amenity though - we bought a new radio for it. The one in it has a cassette tape.). Our offer was accepted subject to them fixing the brakes
to be safe towing the VT and replacing the front bumper. I am not sure they knew the bumper was cracked; happily I saw it when we drove it. The brakes
are done, but we don't know about the bumper. Kevin is calling today.
The van has a couple of dings that don't show in the pix. Our white one is better. It is hard to swap a van that has dings for one that does not, but this blue one has less than half the miles and no wobble from the transmission issue like our white one. I wish VW still imported them. We like them, and so do lots of others. The dealer said they had lots of calls on this van, but Kevin went for it before the dealer even had the van. He saw it on the Internet right away.
Jane, I doubt we would be coming down I-77, as we are coming from IL and going to Naples. That is, if we get the van. Trip is planned, tickets to the bowl are purchased, van yet to be home here.
