Wish us luck!

We're traveling from Redding today into Oregon to look at/buy the Lil Bigfoot.

Obviously I was wayyy too concerned about hitching, towing problems. When I went into the garage this morning, hubby already had out a jack, blocks, air compressor, and an entire kit of "stuff." The first thing he plans to do is check the wheel bearings, and if there's any problem, he's prepared to service them right there.

He's been a bit resistant to the idea of RV'ing (again, he's a minimalist guy), but after several months of unrelenting, uhm, pressure, he's caved. So once he's *in* there won't be anything half *assed* about this venture, I can sit back with no need to worry except about OTHER people on the road.

So, wish us luck! He has his kit and I have my buyer's checklist, and the collective wisdom of this entire board (thank you everyone!), and with a little luck we may be seeing you at your next rally! BTW, what's going on with the one in Quincy? I don't see a place to sign up????

really, really excited

Good luck. Don't forget to take a full propane tank with you in case the seller does not have one to confirm the stove, hot water tank and the fridge (if 3 way) work on it.

Thanks Donna! Looks like they're full-up. Maybe that was pushing things a bit, we'll be at Big Lagoon over Labor Day, so that might have been too much time away from home

Congratulations! I'm one week ahead of you. Your preparation sounded just like mine. My second week was spent spending money on all the items needed to use "Fun Sized" and learning how to operate everything. Fun Times! Enjoy!

Right now she's just parked in our driveway, and I'm having a ton of fun and am not even IN her right now!

And, FunSized, where did you find your Casita, and what is it like?c

Nice Lil Bigfoot! But I am not so sure of the chains holding up the bunk. Is that stock?
