Dang it I want to come! BUT I doubt the Jeep will have it's new tranny by then. I need to go camping, maybe I'll "rob peter to pay paul" and get the tranny next weekend.

Did I say I want to go camping?

Liz, I KNOW you know how to set up a tent in Lytle creek.. LOL.

You and hubby can share the Burro if need be, but I think getting the tranny done is a gooder idea!

Just doed it!

OK, will update the "list" to add the scales. My genset is going I guess.. I have a battery powerd soldering iron, but.. just in case, I'll need that 1000 watts for Freds LEDs.

I will tug the Burro down early, Thursday morning and grab a site.

Remember, this is first come first served and even tho I am sure everyone will get a site, there is no guarantee of getting the best ones.

(I'll be there first.. guess who gets the best one? )

oh, ERIC... did I mention there be fishies to be had across the road?

Don't let that sway any decisions you may make....

Lauren and her cooler have volunteered bartending services. How WILL Havanna look in an apron?

Miss Gina....do you realize that that weekend is the last weekend for spring break for lotsa schools?

Eric says he doesn't know if he can get Friday off....boo hoo. We are working on it.
Plus we are thinking of taking the Jeep as is and yelling YAAAHOOOO and chanting. I forgot next weekend is easter and so there won't be time to get the tranny done.

I tell Gina my big skill is handing out beer and now I am a bartender and the H is in an apron! Fortunately, she will do just about anything for salami.

Do we have any more takers for this one?

There are at least 4 "new" and wanna be owners in the area I have been in contact with recently. This is a great opportunity to have a look at things without too much long distance tavel, especially if you don't have a trailer yet.

I am bummed (to break out my socal lingo) I can't make it, Gina. Our 5-week old baby girl still hasn't found her "rhythm" yet (I've tried singing incessantly all of my Beatles' tunes, but it still seems to evade her...). My wife and I both wish we could make the trek down from San Francisco but I do hope to meet you all soon...

You're probably too young to remember the original Headbanger Ball on MTV. It woked wonders to put Jon to sleep. Bouncing to Headbanger Ball...... that's probably what wrong with him today. White Snake..... we were desperate!

There will be more Rallys when the babe is older, hope to meet you all at one!

Pink Floyd, huh? I don't know if I want a 5-week old who is already a jaded rebel. I'll give her another 15 years to start worry about whether or not I'm just "another brick in the wall." And as for head-banging, it's one of the most effective techniques (though we like to euphemistically call it a gentle rocking)...

Your just two lost SOLES livng in a fishbowl...

Beleive it or not, I am at Applewhite right now.

I was returning home from a long trip, and figured..what the heck, why drag the trailer all the way up another pass, just to bring it back down again in a few days?

At 5 bucks a day (Golden Access) it's pretty cheap parking LOL! Singles are normally 10 bucks, and doubles 20.

The host here has an eagle eye, I have no problem with leaving it, I know everything will be where it was when I left it. (He has the worlds fastest golf cart and can see the entire campground from his site, + I think he has an electric eye so he knows when someone has entered the campground.)

I have spotted out the sites that are best for 13s, and the others for longer units. My rig is probably the longest of the egg types, so I took the longest spur. For spring break, it is pretty quiet. There are only 4 sites taken. That will no doubt change at the end of the week.

A hint for those coming on Friday. Find the 210 freeway (Any way you can EXCEPT from the 15 northbound.... take the 71, the 57.. whatever, but don't take the 15 north to get to the 210. If you are coming south, from the Cajon Pass, stay on the 15, you need not worry) and exit NORTH onto Sierra Ave. You will travel for a few miles on city streets, but it puts you out of the hell known as Vegas traffic backing up on the 215/15 interchange.

Sierra Ave. becomes Lytle Creek road once it crosses under the 15.

oh.. it's raining here LOL!

Gina,
Do you think there will be space if we come up on Saturday morning? My daughter has a colorguard show on Friday night.

This is such a good idea. I would have loved to attend this rally. I will be on a Panama Canal cruise so I have to pass this year but hope you get enough support to do it again next year. I have already penciled it in for around the same time next year so I can keep an eye out for it. Ken and Chris, 79 Fiber Stream
