Thumbs down

What a great turnout! It's official, there are currently NO MORE SITES available. Chris just updated the map and checked the Taidnapam Park website. Our group is taking up 33 of the sites.

If any of you needs to cancel your reservation, PLEASE WAIT. Post a notice here first with advance notice as to when you will be canceling. That will give someone else from our group a chance book your site as soon as you do cancel. This is going to be a fun gathering! Thanks.

Maureen

One option would be to make a reservation at Mossyrock, a few miles down the road. Then if something opens up, you might be able to change your reservations. If nothing opens up you coud come visit. I just looked and thre are spots available for that weekend.

Home for us is on Whidbey Island, a short drive (and a boat ride) from Lake Stevens. We are in spot 49 for the camp out.

There is lots of camping on the island. We have 8 state parks, three with camping plus a county park with dry campling. It is a beautiful place to visit while you are here.

Look forward to meeting you.

Dave

Hey Dave! We're Whidbey Island neighbors! Where are you?
We're in Langley, just up the First St hill from the Dog House - the wood-shingled house with the big PEACE sign. Our Casita cramper is parked in our side yard... these days we're airing it out, getting ready for Spring. We shall skip on over to Ft Casey's Keystone Ferry-side crampgrounds the next sunny weekend that comes our way.

Join us?!

Do they allow us to double up on sites? I have a 13' in a large site. Maybe this might be an option?

I have my doubts as for doubling up.... Does anyone know if any of the new sites are available? by the reservations they might be... you might want to call the parks ( 1-800-campout) to find out...

One would think that the park reservation system would NEED verification (somehow) from BOTH partys that it would be acceptable for this to happen. Otherwise the system would be going 'round doubling EVERYONE up anytime anywhere and probably with little ot NO notice at all.

It might just pay you (Jim) to take the chance and just show up at the park for the meet an head directly to the office with your other 'egg buddy', probably have to pay double the fees and tell the 'people of the day' in charge what you'd like to do..... (just a supposition on my part, but ANYTHING is worth a try, right?)

You made an assumption that I had been invited to double and that was not the situation. A bit embarrassing Jim

I'll share my site, if we need to and the park allows it. But I have a 16 footer and a truck... totally length around 32 feet. I don't need the water, but do need the electricity.

Maybe if we get enough overflow, those people could use the group area?

I just found out yesterday that I may be eligible for holidays in June. (Unless I get "bumped" by a more senior employee.)

If so I was thinking of heading to the gathering. If there are any cancellations please let me know.

Thank you.
