Wow great response. Got 15 campers registered already. That registration system seemed to work OK yesterday despite having a record number of people using it yesterday morning. At Least it did not crash like it did last year.

Now we need the snow to melt so we can go camping.

And still waiting for my new TUG that was ordered March 9th and built on March 25th.

Thanks for the update Anita and Ken. You won't be alone in Bay 10 there is 1 other trailer in the bay with you from the Rally so far.

I haven't looked today, but yesterday when I looked there were actually 2 sites in Bay 11. Maybe someone cancelled? Probably filled again.

We booked in G 10.

Nancy and Fred will be coming if the temp is below 90.

Hi Nancy and Fred. The way the weather is going right now we can only hope we will get some weather this year. Mother Nature is not kind yet this year.

There are still 2 sites in Bay 11 for the 16/17th. Very strange.

Glad I didn't have my heart set on a spring trip south. Our trailer is not getting out of our drive until May...I hope May. Funny thing to have a real winter again, been really spoiled with the last couple.

I suspect they hold some sites for walk-up and phone in sites and release them if they are not booked by certain dates. There is 1 site left in Bay 11 as of right now.

This snow will just not melt, I want to get back to working on my Boler but cant even get it out of the storage area yet. Hope to get at it soon as I have the whole rebuild to finish for the August Rally.

I'm with you Rick... done with winter! So I went shopping for new drapery material for the SurfSide today. She gonna be beautiful.

on another topic, is there anything planned like a show-n-shine or mini swap meet? If we are all over the campground, is there a flag/marker that says we're part of the meet? I have a background in graphic design so let me know what I can do to help.

Yes Scott as part of our Trailer Tour on Saturday afternoon we will have a swap meet for those interested. I will be in Section A Site 9 again this year and everyone else so far is in Section A or Bay 11 and 1 of our group is in Bay 10. I am compiling a list of where everyone is for the trailer tour. Not hard to spot us as we are in little Fiberglass campers, 1 1961 Shasta and 1 Apache Camper. So far we have 17 campers booked and 3 more that say they are coming but no site info from them yet. Looks like as of right now at 6:45 on Sunday April 14th there are only 2 electrical sites left in Bay 2 but lots of no hookup sites left near the Rally Area.

I'm brand new to this forum & to RVing. So, Im going to apologize in advance for the lame question.

I'd like to know what goes on at a rally. Are there events or programs scheduled, or do folks just hang out for a weekend? What is your favorite part of attending rallies?

Hi Richard. Not a lame question at all. Every Rally is different. At our rally Friday night is the meet and greet campfire, Saturday morning is usually a GPS scavenger hunt or free time to go to town to get something for the pot luck supper on Saturday night, Saturday afternoon we have a trailer tour and parts swap meet. Saturday evening is a campfire. Sunday people pack up and head home and I start planning the next years event.

The best part I find is meeting people with similar interests in small light weight campers. It is cool to get comments from all the people with their HUGH campers and motorhomes as to how we survive in our CUTE little trailers.

Rick ; Do you know off hand how far the park is from Braintree Manitoba? We have camped at the Moose Lake provincial park on several occasions and greatly enjoyed our stay.

Moose Lake is 2.5 hours east of St Malo. As per Google Maps. Never been there myself but told it is a nice place.

Steve,

If you have the Minnesota State map you can find both St. Malo and Moose Lake on it. St. Malo is between A & B top of 1. right under 97 degree. Moose Lake is due north of Warroad, MN (but you have to go west, then east to get there).

Thought of making a loop last year and going the long way up around Kenora on the return, but did not get the loop done. Just came back through MN the same way.

This year we will do a day trip to Winnipeg. Last year we visited Steinbech and the museum there.
