Hi
Karen and I will be attending the NOG for the first time (at this or any fiberglass trailer gathering), and, well, is there a published agenda ? or is it loose ?
I did see mention of a potluck...is this gathering wide or just a few?......do we wear costumes ?.....know a password (swordfish)...or ???
we have a 1973 Hunter1 with modifications by us....and wouldn't trade it for the world.......(well sometimes I fantasize about a shower)...........
See Y'all there................

Hi Allen and Karen,

Donna put the agenda in post #77. It's pretty loose other than the Friday and Saturday evening events -- you'll have plenty of time to wander around and visit friends (or make new ones), go to town, walk on the beach, etc. Lots of attendees come to both of the evening events. Come and visit even if you don't want to eat or drink as it is a great time to meet a lot of folks.

No costume necessary but be sure to wear a nametag! It can be as simple as your name written on a scrap of paper and pinned on, or as fancy as a handmade badge with lots of babbles and decoration. If there is a password nobody has told me yet

See you there!

--Lynne (and Peter), 2005 Scamp 5th Wheel, Site 20, arriving Thursday

Sheesh, you know, we could have really played up the "Must wear a costume" thingy on the newbie. Just sayin'

After traveling over 8,400 miles since August 5th, in my new-to-me 2007 25' Bigfoot, I would like to say that it would be nice to be able to make it this year to the Fall NOG and see everyone. However, I'm now in Henderson, Nevada, 72 degrees, 43% humidity, for about two weeks while I wait for the WIN (Wandering Individuals Network) group coming down from Zion in Utah. It's basically an active singles RV group (not a club). I'm going to caravan with them around to many places in Arizona this winter. In the spring, when my daughter gets to be eight months pregnant with my first grandchild, I'll head back to Orygone!!

I flew in from Seattle this evening and landed in B29. Thanks to the gentlemen who helped me land in the dark. My brake controller failed but I managed fine without it. Both of my GPS mislead me once I made the turn off and I had to resort to good old fashioned asking someone for directions.

Not something you said

Karen and I awoke Saturday morning to a new leak our baby had sprouted and soaked our bed. (was not there Thursday night or previously.)
We changed to dry things and headed home to make reparations.
So sorry we missed more w/ y'all.......
We really enjoyed seeing what folks had done to their trailers, especially the couple traveling with the guy playing the banjo and our cousins from north of the border who did a totally amazing redo of their Boler............
I am so glad he didn't get to critic my cabinet building.....at least not 'till after the second bottle from the built in wine rack.......
Will try the Southern and Eggnog again next year and hope to meet more of you then.
Allan and Karen

What a fabulous weekend. Good times, Good Friends!! I know the goin'-to is a lot more fun than the comin'-from

I hope everyone who's still traveling to get home, gets there safely and remembers the 2013 Fall NOG with a special spot in the memory bank.

2014 Fall NOG will be at Silver Falls State Park. We can start making reservations in three months. I'll post a new separate thread for that discussion when the time comes.

Thank you to all whom we visited and who shared your trailers and insight with us. We were unable to make it back for the potluck on Saturday but we met some wonderful folks in the morning and look forward to finding the right egg to travel in in the future. And special to Donna for saying it was Ok for us to come.

Joan and I arrived back home yesterday afternoon safe and sound after the 1800 mile drive. What a FANTASTIC trip, thank you Donna and all our new friends from the Pacific NW and BC.

Yes, thanks again DONNA ~ our fearless "molded towables" leader even managed to give us reasonably good weather.

We look forward to the SPRING NOG at Shampoo-eee, er Champoeg.

In the meantime, enjoy the fall and winter seasons, tucked safely at home or wherever you spend the dark days!

Cheerios,
Sharen, Simon & True
