Hello Rally Friends

Just a note to let you all know that the 2013 Lake Casitas Rally will be October 31 to November 4.
(A few come on Wednesday and others stay until Tuesday).

I know we discussed having the rally the weekend before Halloween, but it would not work out for Jim and I to hold it at that time.

I don't know the exact day for you to call in for reservations - I will post here and send another email sometime around the end of April. We know that Lake Casitas has discussed year in advance reservations.I'm watching that very closely -I will let you all know if there is a change.

We hope you can all attend the 12th Annual Lake Casitas Rally. See you in October.

If my calculations are correct, I think May 4th is the day we can begin to make reservations.
Oct. 31 is day 304 minus 180 days = day 124, which is May 4. I'm putting a reminder in my calendar.

Are we going for the B Loop and working out from their again this year?

For anyone like Joy who are doing geneology, the LDS church in Ojai has a terrific family search center. Very lovely and helpful people. I plan on stopping in to see them again this year. Last year we found the Ojai cemetery, very interesting place to see.

I am SO looking forward to this years get together. I'm retiring on Nov. 1, and can come to the rally early, and leave late. Can also take my time getting there and going home. This will be my first Scamp trip where I can actually relax and not worry about rushing home and being exhausted.

Congratulations on retiring... We know you will really enjoy the freedom you will have. We are happy to be the first rally that you attend in retirement.

Like Rosemary says, you can also plan on spending time doing your genealogy.

May 6 (or ASAP after) is the day to call in and reserve your space . ... Please post your Reservation info here .. Nights staying, space number, trailer, and first names staying in your space.

Jim Johnson will keep a roster and will contact you if further info is needed.



( BASS campground has been closed completely since February for new wiring etc. It will not open until the end of August. Just in case you were thinking of making a reservation in the BASS area during this time).

Hi Everyone

It's time to think about reserving your space for the Lake Casitas Rally. This will be out 12th year to be at the lake.

Last year we had 56 trailers . please make your reservations early so you won't miss out on your favorite space. We usually end up with a waiting list.

Please post nights you reserved, space number,, pet(s) names, trailer. Remember there is a nightly fee for your pet(s). We will have the pet parade on Saturday.

Like always, they have one phone .. when you call to make your reservation, keep dialing until the message comes on and hold on ..it usually takes awhile. You can fax, but I don't recommend it..... A non-refundable reservation fee in the amount of $7.50 is charged for each reservation. However, cancellations or modifications may be made in person, through the mail or over the phone up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date at a charge of $5.00 per site, per reservation.

Cancellations not made prior to the 72-hour period will be subject to forfeiture of some or all camping fees, depending on the date of cancellation. Without prior cancellation the entire camping fees paid will be forfeited.

Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12 noon. You may be able to occupy the campsite early if it is vacant.

Basic Sites (No water No Electric) $25.00/night ( Sat/Sun Holidays $30/night - this might be just during the summer)

(includes Tow vehicle and Trailer)

Extra vehicle $12.00/night " " $17/night
