Hi Frank:
My hubby and I run EggFestOntario every May and we are too bloody old to do a whole lot of organizing. We find most of our Eggers rather like not having too much organization. I do it all on-line with a blog, keep a list of who is coming and the campground we use are quite content to take my list of people a day or two before the event and people just pay when they arrive. I keep them abreast of how many and they have an area set aside for X number of units.
Our Saturday supper is "Bring your own" to the pavilion and we keep an activity board and a sell/trade/buy/give away board. Buttons and Tshirts are all done on the blog and we have help when people start arriving. I just don't want to work too hard or it's not fun anymore.
We might try to make this one although we don't usually travel in July and August, and our house is for sale so we might be moving about then. Good luck and with any luck we'll see you there.

Good for you Linda. Maine is a great state to visit, seashore, lakes, mountains, but we're gonna miss ya in Halfmoon on the Hudson.

I can't wait to retire and hit the Canadian Maritimes!

What's going on folks? No posts here of lately, and we're less than 3 months away. Other than a boat launch for your canoes and kayaks, and a $6 charge/day for anybody needing power, what else do y'all wanna do. Pot lucks? Organized meals?

We're off for our 1st ever egg camping trip in a few weeks. We should have another one under our belt by the time the egg rally rolls around too! Can't wait!

Keep in touch,

Frank

Hi Frank
We haven't forgotten you. We are just back from our first meet of the season. Great time seeing some people we haven't seen for a year.
We told lots of people about your rally. Many were there from NY and eastern Ontario and very interested....even a couple from Conn. Hopefully a few more will climb aboard.
We always enjoy the Friday and Saturday night campfires but don't stress about organizing a whole lot of stuff. Campers have fun no matter where they are or who they are with.

Thanks Linda! That must be the rally we missed because we were down on the Outer Banks of NC from the 16th through the 27th! Next time we go it will be with our egg!

Take care, and have a great day,

Frank

I didn't go back over the 10 pages of posts. We're in, do you need us to bring anything, like for a pot luck?

A pot luck is always fun! Not much organizing needed. Everybody bring something and put a bunch of tables together.

Brian, I don't think the steak fry thing is gonna work out. Long story, but I'll check and let ya know.

I also like the idea of a pot luck. Let me check on tables, tents, etc. I'm sure there's a place there we could have a big bonfire too, at least for you folks that stay up late. I generally miss them, but am up at 5 making the coffee!

Sure am looking forward to it.

Frank

Frank,
I understand completely. It sounds like an awful lot of work and you're there to have fun too. We're up for a pot luck. Logistically it makes a lot more sense!
